What is the District 128 Foundation for Learning?

The District 128 Foundation for Learning was incorporated in 2007 as a 501(c) (3) non-profit, autonomous, tax-exempt organization. In 2006, a group of District 128 residents met as a design team to explore ways in which our community could work together to:

  1. Enhance student development,
  2. Promote our school district as a center for lifelong learning,
  3. Support staff excellence and creativity,
  4. Promote a unified school district whose focus is learning.

Concluding that "we can NEVER do enough" when it comes to preparing our youth for the future, the group established the framework for a charitable foundation whose mission is to "obtain resources to enhance and enrich the instructional program in Community High School District 128."
