DARING Innovation Grant:
LHS SOS: Save Our Story

The Foundation awarded a $2,500 DARING Innovation Grant for the LHS SOS: Save our Story in May 2026. Funding for this project also came from other donations and school funds.  This effort is led by Kevin O'Neill, LHS Social Studies Teacher.

From the LHS SOS Team:

LHS SOS is an organization whose sole focus is preserving the over 100 years of history at Libertyville High School. Thanks to a generous donation and school funds, we have already digitized our entire collection of Nautilus (yearbook) and Drops of Ink (student newspaper). When you donate to LHS SOS, you’ll be funding the displays and digital maintenance of an archive that will be fully searchable and available to the public on the web. We're also seeking to better archive, preserve, and display our physical artifacts, starting with our newspapers and yearbooks, but also other pieces of LHS history, like memorabilia, uniforms, playbills, and more! Other future projects include digitizing fine arts performances, assemblies, athletic contests, and awards ceremonies. Thank you for Saving Our Story!
